We believe every pet deserves one-on-one attention—from the moment you walk in until they’re happily prancing out. Your pet will receive the complete care of our grooming staff, all who have over 10 years experience, and will be with us only for the time necessary for their grooming needs, not all day.

Each appointment begins with a private consultation to discuss your pet’s coat type, temperament, allergies or special needs, and desired style.
Each of our groomer have over ten years of high quality experience grooming dogs and cats. Your pet is with us only for the exact duration of their groom, reducing stress and ensuring focus.
From gentle bath & brush-out, precision trims, nail services, ear cleaning, to specialty lion cuts for cats, we offer everything under one roof.
Gretchen has been with Ahead of the Pack since its opening in 2010 and brings over 24 years of grooming experience. A Nationally Certified Master Groomer through the NDGAA, she’s skilled in grooming both dogs and cats—an uncommon and valuable talent. Gretchen has trained and mentored countless groomers across the East Coast and earned top honors in grooming competitions, including Best All-Around Groomer of 2000. In addition to her grooming expertise, she holds degrees in Psychology and Human Services from Wilmington University. Today, she continues to share her artistry and passion with every pet she grooms.
