Located at the corner Kings Highway and Haddon Ave in charming Downtown Haddonfield, NJ, Ahead of the Pack has been the community’s trusted groomer for over a fifteen years. Our modern salon offers a calm, naturally lit second-floor studio tailored to grooming both dogs and cats.

We believe every pet deserves one-on-one attention—from the moment you walk in until they’re happily prancing out. Your pet will receive the complete care of our grooming staff, all who have over 10 years experience, and will be with us only for the time necessary for their grooming needs, not all day.

Our first floor offers a wide variety of toys, food, accessories and more that will have your precious pet feeling healthy, having fun and looking good.

Gretchen

Gretchen is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer by the NDGAA(National Dog Groomers Association). She has been grooming for over 30 years and has dedicated her life to the care and well being of all breeds. Specializing in hand scissoring and award winning in Poodles and Best all around Groomer of 2000. With a full family of 7 children she still made time to achieve a Masters degree in Human Services from Wilmington University. Gretchen has been with Ahead of the Pack for 15 years and continues to provide loving and gentle care to all fur babies.

Denise

Denise has been grooming dogs and cats at the highest level for 14 years. She has been working and volunteering with animals since 1999. She loves making her clients happy and having her animals of any breed and background feel comfortable and cute! Denise is a Dog Mom herself and a Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Brooklawn.

Ashley

Ashley is a passionate pet groomer with over 10 years of experience. She’s worked with the complete variety of breeds and coat types, from the fluffiest Poodles to the sleekest Huskies. Her goal is to ensure every dog feels comfortable and pampered during their grooming session. Ashley also grooms cats and other exotic animals. She also performs creative grooming and hair dyeing and can turn your bulldog into a cheetahs or your poodle pink! “I truly love what I do I couldn’t imagine anything else!” Ashley has two beautiful kids Dominic and Christine and three handsome Boston Terriers, one Cat named Beetle and four rats.

Canine Grooming Services

Full Groom
Includes bath, hand drying, nail trimming/grinding, ear cleaning, and a full-body clip or outline trim.
Face/Feet/Sanitary Package
A tidy touch-up between grooms—includes all bath services with trimming limited to the face, feet, and sanitary areas.
Ear Cleaning
Always included with bath services, and also available individually.
Anal Glands Expression
Includes a gentle sanitary wash and is available by request as a standalone or as part of a grooming package.
Bath & Brush Out

Designed for short-coated breeds—includes bath, hand drying, nail trimming/grinding, ear cleaning, and thorough brushing.

Nail Clipping and Grinding
Available as a standalone service.
